Neir Taboada Gamallo, President of the People's Party of Spain in the U.S. and member of the National Board of Directors of the People's Party of Spain

Born in Quiroga (Lugo) but with roots in Cercedo (Pontevedra). Her family migrated to Venezuela when she was nine. Ten years later she moved to the United States. She has a degree in Spanish from Montclair State College in New Jersey. She taught from 1974 to 1976 and since then she has run her own businesses, focused on trade with Europe and Latin America as well as Real Estate. Married to José Nogueiras Martínez, they have two children, Sandra and George.
 

Juan José Nuñez, Secretary General, Territorial Delegate for Florida, and member of the Executive Committee

Born in Madrid. He has a bachelor's degree in Economics and Business from Universidad San Pablo CEU and Universidad Complutense in Madrid. He obtained a Master's Degree in Financial Markets from Centro Internacional Carlos V, at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Between 1991 and 2000 he worked as a broker in a number of banks. In 2000 he started working at one of the leading firms in telecommunications and the internet. He is currently Vice-President of Operations for Starmedia, one of the leading internet portals in the Spanish speaking market. Juan José was Secretary of Organization of the People's Party of Spain in the U.S. from April 30, 2006 to October 15, 2006. He is married to Cristina Sanches.

Ángel Alcalá, Founding President

Angel Alcalá (Andorra, Teruel, 1928) taught Philosophy at the Universidad Pontificia of Salamanca, Spain. Between 1964 and 1999 he was Professor of Spanish Language and Literature at Brooklyn College (City University of New York). He is the author of more than thirty books on thought, history, Michael Servetus (Miguel Servet), Spanish Inquisición, etc., among them “Alcalá-Zamora y la agonía de la República” (2nd. ed., Seville, 2006). From 1996 to 2001 he was the founder and first president of the Managing Commission of the People's Party of Spain in New York.
