With head and heart. Mariano Rajoy.

Rajoy also stated his firm commitment to govern with compassion, “for those folks who get up early every day to earn a living, those who live from paycheck to paycheck, those who want a better future for their children and grandchildren, and those who are victims of terrorism”.

“The cost of living has increased a lot in the last few years, a lot. That is why I firmly believe that in the next four years we should focus on prices, salaries and pensions. Those are the things that really matter to people. Those things affect their lifes. And helping people in those areas is helping people to live a happier life.”

Mariano Rajoy. With head and heart.

The People's Party of Spain presented its candidates for the 2008 general election. At a rally in Valladolid on February 3, the party unveiled a video that introduced the 52 provincial candidates.

We are a team. Rajoy for presidente.

The video articulates the party's message through the principles of hope, hard work and team spirit:

"If you listen, look, feel, believe, love, be. Teach, learn, start. Create, dream, invent. Passion, illusion, energy. Today, Rajoy, president. You, I, team. Populares, ready. Populares, go!"

The final words summarize the message of hope that the People's Party of Spain wants to transmit to all Spaniards: "We are a team. Rajoy for president".

Political Conference of the People's Party of Spain

The People's Party of Spain held a Political Conference November 16 through 18 in Madrid. The Conference set the foundation for the the program with which the People's Party will participate in the 2008 General Election in Spain.

Improving your life

The Conference had two major themes: "The values of the Constitutional Pact" and "A more equal economy".

At the Conference, the People's Party of Spain analyzed some of the critical problems faced by the Spanish society that stemmed from the lack of bipartisan consensus on critical issues, such as the war against terrorism, the territorial model and the role of the regions, and foreign policy. In addition, the party discussed the challenges and opportunities of the Spanish economy in the context of a global market.

Your team, your program

A video prepared by New Generations was presented at the Conference. The video was a response to the the socialist party that, lacking ideas to solve the problems faced by the Spanish people, has entrusted its program to a team of foreign "experts". The People's Party of Spain believes in the citizens, who, with their hard work and hope for a better future, motivate us to work for a better Spain.

The experts that inspire our program are stay-at-home moms and students, workers and retirees, young people and the handicapped, entrepreneurs and old people. All those who have dreams for the future and want to improve their lives.
