The People's Party of Spain held an event to close its overseas campaign for the European Parliament elections on Thursday, June 4, 2009 in Miami, Florida. It was presided by Alfredo Prada, Director of the Department for Overseas Affairs of the People's Party of Spain, Neir Taboada, President of the People's Party of Spain in the US, and Juan José Núñez, Secretary General of the People's Party of Spain in the US and Territorial Delegate in Florida. The event was attended by 200 party members and sympathizers of the Miami area.
