Cristina Pato's concert
Last September 16, 2006 the territorial delegations in New Jersey and New York of the Popular Party of Spain in the United States attended a concert by the Spanish music and composer Cristina Pato at Carnegie Hall in Manhattan.
Cristina Pato, 26, is considered one of the most prestigious virtuosos of the Galician bagpipe or gaita. Ms. Pato currently lives in New York, where she is doing graduate studies in music at Rutgers University. More than twenty other musicians from all around the world participated in the concert, which was conducted by the world-famous cellist Yo-Yo Ma.
After the concert, both delegations of the Popular Party of Spain in the United States met to analyze the latest political events in Spain.
