PPE-USA celebrates Spanish National Holiday

The Popular Party of Spain in the United States participated in the celebration of Spain's National Day organized by the Spanish Consulates General in the U.S.

Boston

The Territorial Delegate in Massachussets and Secretary of New Technologies of the Popular Party of Spain in the United States, Carlos Montero Luque, attended a reception organized by Carlos Robles Fraga, Consul General of Spain in Boston in celebration of the Spanish National Day, October 12.

Miami

Santiago Cabanas, Consul General of Spain in Miami, offered a reception to celebrate the Spanish National Day. The event was attended by a delegation of the Popular Party of Spain in the United States, headed by its Territorial Delegate in Miami and Secretary of Organization, Juan José Núñez.

San Francisco

On October 12, 2006 the Consulate General of Spain in San Francisco held a reception at the Unión Española de California in San Francisco to celebrate the Spanish National Day. The event was attended by the Territorial Delegate in California and member of the Executive Committee of the Popular Party of Spain in the United States, Nuria De Francisco.
Manuel Pradas Romani, Consul General of Spain in San Francisco, delivered a speech and toasted Spain and the United States. The celebration included a traditional Spanish dinner and was attended by a large number of Spanish nationals who reside in Northern California, and by the Consuls General in San Francisco of the countries who share historic and cultural bonds with Spain.

Juan José Núñez, Secretary General and Territorial Delegate in Florida of the Spanish Popular Party in the United States, was interviewed for "Foro 17", a Spanish language program on WLRN TV of Miami, Florida.

Visit of Pablo Cobián to New York and New Jersey

Pablo Cobián Fernández, candidate of the Spanish Popular Party for Mayor of Oleiros, Galicia, visited New York on October 7, 2006.

On a previous trip to the United States Pablo Cobián and a delegation of the Spanish Popular Party of Galicia headed by its president, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, attended the First Convention of the Spanish Popular Party in the U.S., which was held in Newark, New Jersey, on April 30, 2006.

In his speech at the House of Galicia in Queens Mr. Cobián gave information on the current political situation in Oleiros, and presented the platform and candidacy of the Spanish Popular Party for the 2007 municipal elections.

The event was attended by former residents of Oleiros. Also attending was Neir Taboada, President of the Spanish Popular Party in the U.S., and several members of its Executive Committee.
